The organic Lindenfeldweid farm run by the Unternährer family falls within the city boandaries of Lucerne. It comprises a cultivated area of 54 hectares, comprising 7 hectares of forest, a 1-hectare intensive orchard and 46 hectares of permanent pasture. They are surrounded by forests and hedgerows, and there are also 260 high-stem fruits trees on the land. Ecological compensation areas have been established all over the agricultural land, with ten sites and an area of 5 hectares overall.

The organic Lindenfeldweid farm has been managed according to the strict regulations of Bio-Suisse since 1995. These products can be recognised by the distinctive bud logo.

Organic milk production is the mainstay of Lindenfeldweid. In summer the cows graze on lush green pastures, and in winter they are given silage and hay in the cowshed. Other business areas include cattle breeding, fruit-growing and Christmas tree plantations. The farm sells firewood, Christmas trees, organic fruits (e.g. pears, damsons, apples and pumpkins) as well as home-pressed organic juice (fresh or pasteurised) directly to the public.
