The successful organic dairy in north-east Germany has a particular affinity for environmental issues. It devotes special attention to the topic of energy. An important component of professional energy management at Gläserne Molkerei is the solar plant in Dechow.

For Gläserne Molkerei, the company name is a promise. Founded in 2001, the company aims to be a byword for transparency and credibility. To the greatest extent possible, the journey that organic milk takes from the farmer to the producer and finally to the consumer must be demonstrated and traceable in the production of organic milk and organic dairy products. We are therefore only too happy to give interested consumers an insight into the two Gläserne Molkerei production facilities.

Visitors are also given a better understanding of environmental protection in the farm shop of the Dechow site, which was built in 2012. For example, they can find out how much environmentally friendly energy is currently produced by the solar plant and how big a CO2 saving this represents. On average, the burden on the environment is eased by just under 40 tonnes of CO2 each year.
