Molkerei Biedermann is passionate about climate protection. The 204 solar panels on the roof of the dairy provide electricity for processing and cooling 1 million litres of organic milk. The remaining electricity is purchased from the regional grid. Since 2001, heat for pasteurisation has been generated by burning green wood chips.

This enables Biedermann to save more than 100,000 litres of heating oil and reduces CO2 emissions by over 275,000 kg every year. Molkerei Biedermann also takes an environmental approach to its use of water, transport and packaging.

At the Biedermann organic dairy, we are passionate about climate protection. There are certainly sunnier places than Bischofszell, but our photovoltaic system nevertheless allows us to save more than 100,000 litres of heating oil each year, thereby reducing CO2 emissions by nearly 300 tonnes.

Responsible for quality & safety, Biomolkerei Biedermann
